Day 2: Trip to Murchison Falls National Park
On day 2, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning. You will then travel from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park in a 7-hour journey. Being the biggest conservation area in Uganda, Murchison Falls National park covers more than 3,840 km2. The park is separated into two parts by the world’s longest river, the Nile, which thrusts into a churning pool 43 meters below a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment.
A game drive at Murchison Falls National Park will give you first-hand sight of spectacular African animals including: lions, giraffes, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, antelopes and various tropical bird species.
For the next two nights, you will stay at Murchison River Lodge, which is conveniently located along the outstanding Nile River. In addition to having a swimming pool, this Lodge gives you amazingly clear views of Murchison Falls National Park and sights of the hippos nearby! Breakfast and Dinner are included.
Rhino Tracking (Optional) – $40 P/P
Join our skilled ranger on an optional safari hike to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Due to earlier widespread poaching, rhinos became an endangered species in Uganda and thus uncommon. This will be your chance to come eye-to-eye with unique African rhinos at close range!
Chimpanzee Tracking Budongo forest (Optional) – $95 P/P
Situated in the southern section of Murchison Falls National Park, Budongo Forest is home to the largest number of chimpanzees in Uganda. Besides chimpanzees, you will see other interesting species such as the Olive baboons, Red-tailed monkeys, Blue monkeys and Vervet monkeys.
Day 3: In Murchison Falls National Park
The early bird catches the worm… Today, you must wake up early! Because, given the cool temperatures and the not-so-bright sun, it is in the early morning that the African animals are the liveliest. This is the best time to see the wild animals.
Soon as you’re done with breakfast, you will embark on a memorable game drive, exploring the northern side of Murchison Falls National park. You will have first-hand sight of the rare African animals such as lions, giraffes, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, antelopes and various tropical bird species. Be very alert! You don’t want to miss any of this African wildlife in this Ugandan Park!
Later on, in the afternoon, you’ll be up for a boat safari on the River Nile up to the base of the mighty 43-meter high Murchison Falls! You’ll be in clear sight of rare wildlife including: water birds, crocodiles, buffaloes, hippos, monkeys and many other African species.
You aren’t done yet! From the boat safari, you will hike up to the very top of Murchison Falls. While here, take advantage of this mind-blowing and beautiful scenery to take amazing pictures of moments you’ll never forget! You’ll spend the night at Murchison River Lodge again. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

In the morning or afternoon, for a whole hour, our skilled safari ranger will guide you around Kibale Forest National Park so as to find and view the unique chimpanzees as well as other monkey species. Given that chimpanzees are animals out in the wild, seeing them is not guaranteed and sometimes hearing their uncommon hoots is a good enough.
Next up: for the next 2-3 hours, you’ll be taken for your swamp walk through neighboring communities and their beautiful grasslands. You’ll most likely be met and warmly greeted by the locals here. This is an enriching experience! During this walk, be on the lookout for some wild primates just wandering by! You will spend the night at Kibale Forest Camp. Breakfast and dinner included.
Chimpanzee Habituation Tracking (Optional) – $70 P/P
Instead of the regular chimpanzee, you can sign up in advance for the advanced chimpanzee habituation tracking that indulges you for a whole day. Here, seeing these closest family members of yours is 100% guaranteed! You will then do your swamp walk the next day in the morning.
Day 6: Trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Later on, in the afternoon, Kazinga channel awaits you for an amazing boat safari. For most people, this is the highlight of their tour! Kazinga Channel joins Lakes Albert and George. You will not believe the very high number of hippos you will see here together with other animals just passing by to bathe or water up! Animals you’ll see include: elephants, crocodiles, buffaloes and beautiful birds that you haven’t seen before. You will then head back to Marafiki Safari Lodge. Breakfast and Dinner are included.

Once again, the night will find you in the soothing breezes of Mutanda Lake Resort. Breakfast, packed lunch and Dinner are included.
